My Songs To Spacewalk To Album is the culmination of many months of music making, from around November 2019 to June 2020. I think I improved a lot as a composer and producer, and I hope it sounds that way too! If you like my music enough that you think it's worth money, you can buy the album or individual tracks on Bandcamp. All the revenue from the album will go to Arbor Day Foundation, an international charity organization founded nearly 50 years ago with the sole goal of planting and conserving trees, which are so necessary for all life on our beautiful planet. As of May 2021, this album raised over $50 for the Arbor Day Foundation!

Hi, I'm Gizmote (he/they)! I like music so much that I started making some myself. I started making music in 2017 under the name GizmoDude8128 and have been releasing songs frequently ever since! My music tends to fit in genres such as electronic, EDM, ambient, and chiptune, but I've also done a bit of orchestral, techno, and synthwave. My two biggest releases are Songs To Spacewalk To and Bright, both released in 2020, the revenue from which is donated to the Arbor Day Foundation! My biggest inspirations include C418 and Waterflame, as well as dozens of other artists. As of 2021, I have released over 60 songs, and I plan on making more creative works as long as I can! Thanks for listening.

Here are all the individual track descriptions:
Puffball Plaza: A super happy song to kick off the album! It's sort of weird to start a space-themed album with a song whose title is not at all space-themed, but the name Puffball Plaza fit the cheerful attitude so well, I had to keep it. A prominent public place piled with puffballs sounds so pleasing to prance in. The song loops too, if you want to keep the fun going. Anyway, enjoy the song!
Nep Tunes is a simple but happy song. I think chiptune is the perfect style for conveying pure, innocent happiness, and I hope this song does that well.
Updraft is an upbeat chiptune song, with a composition closer to that of a normal EDM song that a video game soundtrack. It's pretty similar in style to the Fulcrum Frenzy Main Theme, though I started work on this song before publishing that. I really like the main melody for this one.
Lunar is more ambient in nature, like something you'd expect to hear when you walk on the moon. It's disquieting and perhaps a bit eerie. So perhaps this part of the album should be more appropriately called Songs To Moonwalk To?
I started making Titan over a year ago. It sort of jumps between genres so making the transitions coherent was pretty difficult. I'm not sure I entirely succeeded. Anyway, enjoy!
I started making Prismatic on my phone during the bus ride home from school. It was only later that I realized that it sounded a lot like the song Slip by Geographer, which I originally heard in this Doodle Chaos video:

Perhaps the song subliminally influenced me? I guess I get inspiration from all sorts of places.
Flyby: One day during quarantine, I woke up with a song in my head and got out a music app on my phone I haven't used for a while (Beatwave). I worked on it during two consecutive mornings in bed, and that's how this song was made! Though, I did add some stuff in GarageBand to make it sound fuller; Beatwave only gives you 4 tracks to work with. Enjoy!
I started making Comet after a science test. I finished early so I had some time left over to get on my phone and transcribe a tune I had running through my head. I guess this just goes to show how diverse and random my inspiration for songs is, and when I'm able to make music in the first place.
Europa is the song that inspired the space theme for this album. The name Europa comes from a default Reason Compact synth, which I used extensively for this song. Europa is a moon of Jupiter, and has a large water ocean under its icy surface which scientists speculate could hold conditions favorable to life. I like to think of the beginning of this song as exploring the surface, and further into the song you can hear the vibrant life beneath the ice. Enjoy!
Stellar is the final song from my album that's not a bonus song! My friend Mixolydian and I worked hard on this, though collaboration became difficult when we went into lockdown. I made the main melody and we figured out the chords from there. He's a lot better at sound design and future bass-y stuff than I am, go check him out here:

Carbonic Strings is a variation of one of my most-viewed songs on YouTube, Carbonic! 8th, the person who made the album art for this album, asked me to make a version of Carbonic with string instruments, so I did! So you can thank 8th both for the wonderful album art *and* for this bonus song. Enjoy!
Wyatt's Theme is the art I made for wyatt#8283 for TWOW Central Secret Santa June 2020. I tried to make it sound like a battle theme, like Wyatt is some epic boss you're fighting. Plus, I found this super cool (though occasionally blinding) audio visualizer that I used for the YouTube video. Enjoy!

Shinji's Ascent song I made for a school project. It's my idea of a possible soundtrack for the middle of chapter 8 of The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mushima. If you own the book, can you guess what each section represents?
